Expo-port GMBH and Expo+Consulting Associates

Consultant, Researcher and Report Writer

Expo-port GMBH is a leading company based in Germany, which has been in the business of organizing Trade Shows. The business of Trade Shows is a very highly specialized one as it governs the trade of the industry and also drives it.

The sister concern of Expo-port GMBH is Expo+Consulting Associates, which represents the selected Asian Trade Shows. They also cover the interior decoration and lifestyle consulting and execution for the Trade Shows.

Participation in these Trade Shows improves the international business prospects of the companies.

Neena Dayal has consistently done consulting, researching and report writing for Trade Shows for Expo-port GMBH and Expo+Consulting Associates for a long time. These reports were published on their websites, as well as used for the other international trade journals.

The world of Trade Shows is a very intricate one. It involves extreme precision and knowledge to be able to develop the reports for Trade Shows.

Neena as always, scaled up to meet the requirements of this challenging assignment, when she was approached for it. It was quite a though-provoking assignment, and she immediately realized the opportunity hidden in this assignment.

Neena had been consulting, researching and developing contents for various scientific organizations and that had prepared her foundations to analyze, research, write reports and white papers. Still, writing reports for Trade Shows was quite different because the style of reporting was not just factual but also had to be contemporary and interesting, not purely academic.

The other bigger challenge, which Neena fondly remembers, was to scale up to the German quality standards. Geert Boettger, one of the owners of the company, after selecting her for her style of consulting, researching and writing told her explicitly to follow a plain and straightforward style of reporting; and not at all use any floweriness in the ultimate written work. This was quite a bit of differentiation from the inflated styles of reporting as is done in other organizations, including the scientific organizations.

This assignment proved to be a great opportunity for Neena to raise the bar yet again for herself, and get keen insights into a completely different and exciting world of Trade Shows, which was very extraordinary, larger than life and purely centered around the futuristic business forces.
